  1. Great minds think alike ?
  2. What's your favorite braided fishing line? I need a line for skipping jigs, and frogs. *smoothest *casting distance *longevity
  3. I'm running these things in open river current. Anywhere from 1-6ft. Just rocks and boulders on the susquehanna. I believe that the 12lb fluorocarbon was a culprit for getting these lures stuck easier. And by burn i mean 7.1:1 or higher gear ratio
  4. Kick that guys ass lol Thanks for the info guys!
  5. I wonder if #14 sufix advance mono is too heavy for the kvd 1.5s? Any advice what size or kind of mono you like for squarebills?
  6. I have a spot on a lake around 40-70ft deep that is essential for drop shoting. I don't have a trolling motor with spotlock however. Does anyone use marker buoys at that depth? And will it stay accurate?
  7. Thanks guys! Merry Christmas ?
  8. Hey yall, float and fly user for years. I'm thinking about trying something new and instead of using a fly, I'll use soft plastics on a light ball head jig! Its like an, "adjusting dropshot" that i can change depths without retying knots. I'll use: *a light fairy wand with 6-8lb fluorocarbon *rubber bobber stops to adjust the diving depth anywhere from 1 to 100 feet. *line through bobber (float) *1/64oz - 1/8oz ballhead jig. *any soft plastics What do y'all think? Sound crazy?
  9. I love my strike king kvd squarebills. however the rocky Susquehanna River breaks the bills off non stop. What's a quality heavy duty squarebill crankbait y'all use?
  10. Depending on what I'm doing. 3/8-2oz for flipping, punching, and dragging swimbaits on the river
  11. I'm starting to think about dragging a tokyo rig to replace the carolina rig. Does anyone do this? Lizards, ribbontails, creatures..
  12. Hey y'all, I want to buy a baitcast rod specifically for skipping jigs under brush, docks, etc. And I'd like to know what length & brand rod this forum would suggest for me. I am fairly short: 5'7" and plan on throwing them with jigs 3/8 - 1/2 ounce. I have a TATULA SV reel with #20 fluorocarbon already to go. THANKS!
  13. As the title says. It's an extra $110 dollars to get the 80lb thrust over the 70lb Thrust, both for a 24volt system. why is it so much more expensive? As well as how much extra speed/power/battery life will the 80lb give you over the 70? Thanks
  14. Those torqeedo's are sick! But they are expensive... thanks everyone for youre input. Much appreciated
  15. To fishermen that fish electric motor only lakes: who has multiple trolling motors on your boat? is a 24v 70lb thrust substantially faster than a 12v 55lb? Quite a price difference between the two. I have a 36v-112lb up front, but I would like the added power and speed for the transom. It's an 18ft g3 with extra goodies weighing it down. Thanks
  16. Is fluorocarbon necessary for jerkbaits? How much better is it?? I use Yo Zuri hybrid #12 for everything else on the Susquehanna River, and it’s cheap!!
