  1. I’ve been looking at the Z-Man Tubes wondering how they are. Do you rig them with the Shroomz Jigheads?
  2. For me, it’s Jerkbaits. 2 years ago I was determined to improve my skills and start catching some cold water bass with Jerkbaits. So I went out and bought some Strike King KVD’s & Ima Flit’s. Fished them the entire winter and NOTHING. So the fall of 2018 I addressed it again, yet this time I decided if I spent the $25 for MegaBass then I would surely start catching more cold water bass. Did I, sure...ONE(1). Yep one Largemouth and still going at it. I’ve decided to take a different approach for 2019. I plan on fishing them in the early spring during prespawn & spawn when I know they will be more active, so I can put fish in the boat and acquire that confidence needed to throw a bait. Then come the colder water of fall/winter, I will have my cadences down and the confidence to throw them and trust they will produce.
  3. I’m going to echo what pretty much everyone else has said. I started using the Keitech’s 2yrs ago and have since tried Strike King’s & BPS and they’re not even comparable. The Keitech’s are just so soft and run straight with a perfect tail thump. I’ve also never had an issue setting the hook running a Keitech with an Owner Weighted Beast Hook w/Twistlock. Are the Keitech’s pricey, Yes. Do they catch fish, Absolutely; and for that very reason is why I can pay more for them.
  4. I very much agree with this TnRiver46. I think I’m probably to quick to fall back on my crutch(confidence) colors. I think when I’m really into the bass and the bite is good, I should probably have something in GP tied on.
  5. Aright guys, I’m making this my first post after my introduction. So I am mainly a soft plastics guy and keep it pretty simple. I always feel it helpful to let everyone know the types of water we fish to be better informed. I live in the heart of the Ozarks so I fish both lakes and rivers. Lake of the Ozarks, Stockton, Pomme De Terre, Table Rock etc... Rivers such as The Gasconade, The Meramec, The Current, Jacks Fork & The Buffalo, etc... So with that brief understanding of my home waters; here’s my dilemma. I’ve never really had success with straight up Green Pumpkin. After a couple hours of tossing it, I always find myself switching to Watermelon Red and generally start catching fish. I think I may be the only guy on earth who doesn’t have success with GP. I refuse to abandon it as I know it must be a staple. So my question to you all and the wealth of knowledge here is this; is their a GP Variant that may work, (moreso for my confidence probably). Thank You all in advance.
  6. I've been coming here and reading for years. So, i felt like it was probably time to sign up & join and begin participating. This sight has a wealth of knowledge, so I'm very excited to be a part of the community and make some new friends. I've been fishing for over 25 years. Started off as a boy fishing some local ponds and small lakes for Largemouth. Then started wade fishing creeks and smaller rivers for Smallie's. Once i got a boat i started hitting all the bigger lakes. Now i feel pretty well rounded in most of the different styles of fishing. I would say that soft plastics are by far my love. Give me a 3/0 EWG & and soft plastic and I'm in heaven. With that being said though; it's hard to beat that explosion of a topwater strike, the vicious hit of a bladed bait (Chatterbait) or pretty much anything else. I love all forms of fishing as you must be adaptable for what the fish want on that particular day. Looking very forward to meeting everyone!
