  1. All that is encouraged at my local lake is harvesting spotted bass , as LM an SM are the dominant species. Something about they compete with the SM. And I don't know man I started bassin soon as I could hold a rod , and my grandpa drilled into my head catch an release. As I said though do what you do. I GUARANTEE you there's many others on here who it sickens to see bass kept , but they don't want to open that can of worms, wish I'd worded it different myself now , but it is what it is I guess an that really is how I feel about it. Again people who keep em got every right an not bashing them , I am just strongly against it
  2. I cannot bring myself to keep bass. Never ever will I . they even encourage anglers to harvest spots on my local lake and I just can't do it. To each his own of course , but to be honest it sickens me to see bass kept. Not bashing anybody , do what you do.
  3. Carolina rig if they on bottom , if suspended I've found praying helps lol.
  4. US Army. 96-98. 11M.
  5. Just put a helix 7 g2n chirp DI on my bow, and although I don't know how to use it to its full potential yet I couldn't be happier. Currently saving up for an SI unit for the console
  6. Live to fight another day . same happened to me Saturday on ft Loudoun - 6 hours an caught 2 dinks. It'll get better
  7. I use the the improved clinch knot with every line type an never have problems. Wet it , pull the tag end slowly an you're good . Everybody loves the Palomar an I'm sure it's great , but i just grew up with the clinch and have never had a reason to change
  8. I fish some small local tournaments, but mainly just recreational. I wish we would all use the MLF format , weigh pic release , at EVERY tournament level . I understand the complications, but there's no way you can tell me that it wouldn't be better for the fish. While I do fish the occasional tournament, and have nothing against tournament fishing , I have been affected by some of the ridiculousness that comes with the bigger Ts , it was either the BAIT or BITE series . Had my 4 year old daughter out one morning crappie fishing ( I'm a bass man through an through but much easier to get kids interest with panfish) anyways these guys were there to practice on one of my local lakes ( Douglas east TN) apparently they only get certain practice days because a ton of them were there. Never have I been more disappointed in a group of folks in my life. I grew up bassin an love it , some of the finest folks you'll ever meet, but the rudeness , arrogance , an for lack of a better word assholism of these guys was sickening . No way to represent the sport coming to a body of water an acting that way
  9. Excellent rods. Have 2 , 7' MH an 7'6 MH . Love em both
  10. Spiderwire 100% fluoro has always worked great for me . no problems whatsoever, but I haven't tried Berkley
  11. They're an excellent budget bass rod in my opinion .
