PBBrandon's post in What Dobyns Rod? was marked as the answerIt’s a slam dunk Champion XP 734c imo.
If all-around is what you are looking for, it’s one of the best on the market. I traded mine in for an Xtasy but I miss the Champ XP

PBBrandon's post in Need help pairing reels to rods. was marked as the answerYep that’s the one. The US model is 360-370 but the Japanese model is that one you are looking at. Thanks to the exchange rate between the USD and the JPY, you can get reels from Japan for way cheaper than the US.
Only difference between the 2 I believe is that the US model has brass gears and the JDM version has aluminum gears and I think that makes it a bit lighter. Other than that there should be no difference in performance

PBBrandon's post in Messing with my old Curado 200K was marked as the answerYou can use one brake and be fine. I run 1 shoe on when I’m bomb casting lipless cranks or football jigs. 90% of the time I run 2 on, 2 off, a little play in the spool and just use the outside dial when making adjustments

PBBrandon's post in 7'3" H tatula elite was marked as the answerI’ve fished 7’1”H Tatula Elite jig skipping rod and loved it. Not sure how much different the 7’3” is action-wise but overall the Elites have a softer tip than the regular Tatulas. Should toss 3/8 jigs pretty well.
They are a little on the tip heavy side, and a 6oz reel wouldn’t help with that. The balance isn’t super bad or anything but it’s not great either.
Overall they are light, look pretty sweet with the right reel, and are really sensitive for the price. The slight tip-heaviness is the only negative I’ve seen with them
