  1. I have a brother who is 3 years older and a best friend of 16 years(i'm 32). They like to fish but don't care about the scientific side of it just to spend the day on the water. If I'm not with them I'm alone and happy.
  2. Thanks for the info, I'll definitely look into that!!
  3. Try asking your local dealers if they have 2005 or 2006 new leftovers. In some cases you'll save thousands and still get the full warranty. Example of a good deal for a 16ft http://www.tritonboats.com/frames2.asp?cat=3&bid=256 I think new this boat is going for $11,995 with a current $1000 rebate bringing it to $10,995
  4. If you're patient enough maybe a used coleman crawdad...I've seen 2006 models as cheap as $500 used and $700 new. Throw some seats in and good trolling motor and you got quite the plastic setup.
  5. Hello guys I'm your typical forum troll browser. I've been a part-time bait dunking shore fisherman for a couple of years and after much fantasizing(and wife's blessing ) I went from 0 to 60 in the last month. I purchased all new St. Croix rods and new and used stradics and Fin-nor Ahabs and a lifetime supply of senkos. Last but not least, a new boat that could be used in salt or fresh. My first few trips have been fun and a little stressful trying to soak everything in and launching a new boat for the first time. The main problem is spring weather is windy in New England getting the boat to set up for casting with the trolling motor can be nerving. Do you guys go against the wind or with it when drifting along? I'm guessing you go with it and use the trolling motor to slow you down so you don't drift too fast by some good spots. Thanks Aaron
