Abu Garcia Veritas Vs. Daiwa Jupiter

Featured Replies

which rod is the better of the two? looking to pair it with a blackmax 2. (budget reasons, im only 16) all input is appreciated.

they are about the same, the veritas may be a bit more, but i would go with it, i have handled the juniper aswell, nice rod but i would just get the veristas

you wont regret the veritas I own three and am looking at a fourth

Veritas no doubt. The Jupiter is more comparable to te vendetta from Abu. Even then I'd give the edge to vendetta, plus it looks great paired with the black max

Team Daiwa T- series rod tops both of them. At 79$.

I have a Veritas, and it's a very nice rod for the price. The only thing I don't like is that nasty aluminum nut. The one that screws the reel down. It is totally uncomfortable. If you're considering one of these, go to a store, mount a reel on it and see what it feels like to you. Depending on how you hold the setup when retrieving or fighting a fish, it will either be OK, or you will see what I'm talking about. I'm going to sell the one I have for that reason.

Which Veritas model is it ghoti? I will near your neck of the woods this weekend and the 20th.
