What Are You All Using For Lures Now In Southern Nh

Featured Replies

Water temp is right around 50 degress and I have been using a spinner bait or a mepps spinner. Think thats a good choice? Have only caught a few LMB so far. I'm usually a senko guy, but have had no luck all with that. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have been having good luck with a Live Target craw. Not the square bill. All my fish this year have been on that in the shallows around rocks. Tried a spinner bait a few times but I think it is to fast for this time of year.

Shallow huh? Great to know. I'll give it a shot. Thanks

Yeah Not sure why but fishing from the boat I have been looking for rocks around shore and throw it with a slow retrieve. I do get hung on weeds a lot.

50 degrees is right about when shallow cranks, spinnerbaits, and swim jigs start to shine. 55, and it really gets good. Most important thing to do, is find the baitfish. Once you do that, then determine fast or slow, and top, mid, or bottom baits. At 50, the first thing I would probably throw, would be a jig with a big, high action trailer. If they wan't it faster, or more swimming, then go to a swim jig, keel-weighted Craw, or spinnerbait.

Good info. Keep it coming. Thanks.

Jig with a trailer is my bait of choice right now, because you can fish it so many different ways to cater to how they want it.
