Ky. Lake Next Week?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I'm heading to Ky. lake on Monday. We were down there last year at the same time. That was right in the middle of all the storms. I know that things are a lot different this year with the early warm weather. I'm just wondering, if the bass are spawning, pre spawn or post spawn or all of the above? We caught a lot of fish last year in 3-10 ft. of water on shakeyheads, t-rigged lizzards and spinnerbaits. We are staying in the Jonathan Creek area. Not asking for any secrets or areas, just what do you think the conditions warrant. We will be down there for two weeks. Any ideas and information would be welcomed. Thank You.

I only live about an hour and 15 minutes from KY lake...I haven't hurt any detailed reports about spawning cycle, but I do have a friend who fishes tournaments and said they tore them up about 3 weeks ago there in about 12 foot of water on alabama rig. I'm guessing they might have been staging for spawn? so you might hit it right in the middle of spawn or right after...wish i had some more info for you
