Going to a wedding with my wife up there. She told me there are going to be a few days that Im going to need to entertain myself. No problem. One of her friends boyfriends is gonna bring some fishing gear too. So, anybody can give me a few good lakes/canals in the area to fish? No boat. Just gonna be driving around in the rental car. Also, any specific baits that work well up there? Going for bass, what else is there to fish for as well?

Lake Murray is a great lake to fish. Try around Dreher Island State Park, the bass should be coming off the bed right about now. Try a Zoom white trick worm off the bank. You can also try up in Buffalo Creek near Hollands landing, and around there too. If they dont bite the trick worm try a brown punpkinseed 4 in "french frie" worm carolina rigged.

I agree with everything except the great place to fish part . JK ....It's a tough fishery. Bass are always keyed in on the blue back herring and white zoom flukes always seem to win tourneys also shakey heads when they are not schooling Shoot me a pm on when youll be here and maybe I can take you out on the boat.

Well as long as y'all are not 300# like me then we should be fine. I've fished 3 outta the boat before with no problems If not I can at least give you some other ponds or lakes to try out. Also on Murray bring spooks.... Lots of em. When the stripers start schooling it's lites out!!
