Featured Replies

Has anybody been to buggs lately? Taking dad down in 2 weeks hoping to catch a few. Any advice?

Search Buggs Island and Kerr Reservior on the forum for additional information that has already been posted.

As for Buggs, go to this web site or call the following phone number and find out the water level. 300 is normal. You want a pool higher than 300 so the water will "be in the bushes."

303 and 304 or higher is excellent.

If the water is in the bushes go with a baby brush hog, jig or favorite plastic.

Carolina Rig on points should still be working.

If the water is stained be sure to use JJs Magic or Spike-It in chartruse to dip the pastic's tail to give it some color.

Good luck.

With all the rain we have had this week I am sure the water level will be a little higher.

More stained than normal in places, but higher.

Check out the websites just to double check.

Good luck and remember - cushion out in plain sight on the boat; wear your PFD; have your fishing license; check expiration date on fire extinguisher;and have a GPS or GMCO map of the lake.

Have fun - be safe.

Water came up end of last week but already appears to be headed back down some.
