I had the opportunity to buy my first Okuma Spinning reel this spring. I did not know what to expect since I had never used an Okuma reel before. I must say, I was very impressed. I love the reel. I used the Trio for multiple applications: drop shot, shaky head, senkos, and flukes. I don't normally crank with spinning reels, but I threw a KVD 1.0 on the Trio and it handled that very well also. It handled everything I tried to do very well! The Trio made me a believer in Okuma gear! On top of being a great reel, the price of the Trio is great! You can pick up a good reel and not break the bank.

I agree i got one too,,,nice reel for the price,,a little heavy but not bad,,,ive heard from reviews on *** that the durability is wuestionable,,,i take bad reviews like they hould be taken ,,,,,not too seriously !!!!

I have both the 30 and 30S, and they are great reels. I bought the S and a 7' ML Carrot Stix Wild. I actually didn't want the high speed for a dropshot rod, so I swapped the gearset from the 30 to the S, and now I have a 30S"low"!

I normally don't care what my combo's look like, but this was just too perfect a match.

They are a little heavy, but I don't mind it at all. It actually helps it balance out a little bit, feels like theres no rod at all. They are definitely tough as well.
