Need Some Fast Tips!

Featured Replies

Ok well im on the water as we speak. This morning had a good topwater bite. Caught a 4lber 2 3lber and one 2 lbs. But since then nothing that will measure. I pulled off the bank fishing some brush pile and humps with the c-rig and a-rig. I did catch a couple of nice hybrids on the a-rig. But I think my main problem in its noon not a cloud in the sky and no wind whatsoever! I'm on a deep clear lake were the cover is standing timber, rocks, and man made brush piles. That water temp is 68 and slowing raising. The air temp is 80+ (a humid 80+) I really struggle with this condition and just looking for any tips.

Thanks

I would go with the drop-shot on 8 or lighter line. Try something small, then something big if that doesn't do it. If you are on G. Ferry, try some grubs or small craws or tubes off the underwater cliffs. Bluebird days can suck.

Yeah im on Greers I tried tubes and shaky head got one little one on the shaky head but mother nature step in and help me out about 2:00 it clouded up and the wind started blowing got 4 got keepers in 20 min my best five at 2:30 was 13.10 which I'm happy with I guess last weekend Mr bass of Arkansas tourny was won with 13.12 on Greers. But thanks for the tips! And bluebrid day does suck for me.

I'm glad you got something. If your water temp is 68, you must have what, 15'+ visibility? I have done pretty well on GF with a live crawfish rig. Not a really exciting way to fish, though.

Yeah by the dam you can see bottom about 17 to18ft but normally fish up around devil fork and visibility up there is about 8 to 10ft. I havnt used live crawfish sence I was a kid fishing in small creeks for smallmouth was great fun!!

Hey guys, noobie to the forums, but I can already tell theres some good info to be had here.

Took the boat out on Greers this past Sunday and couldn't get the bass to bite, cought a few little ones from 6 to 9am, nothing was biting after that.

Fished on the South side of the lake around Cove Creek, and around Eden Isle.

Where's the honey holes in this lake?

Cove creek is good that's were I was catching them on topwater. But i normally fish the upper part around devil fork. That water has a little stain to it. I have better luck up there anyways.
