Need Some Tips On Targeting Some Bass

Featured Replies

i fish in what apears to be a pond left over from minning. The backside of it is not easily accessable but the frunt side is. so here is the problem all the bait sized blugill and bass hang out at the front. so i decided to go through the woods to get to the back side. i could see some ,what looked like, 2-4 poud bass just hugging to the bank and heading to a brush pile wich had minnows or minnow sized baby bass comming out of it . these bass totaly ignored live worms. i mean they were 5 inches away and didnt even notice it. i did notice a smaller bass heading to the brush pile and the bigger bass chassed it off. so what should i do throw a popper, rattle trap, soft plastic bait, buzz bait. what do you recomend. it could be live bait to hard bait to soft platic.

bluegill are probably what the bass mainly feed on so i would try to match them as closely as possible and try some bluegill colored cranks. The bass is probably guarding its fry. Also maybe some jigs and i would target that brushpile by making repeated casts to it. Also the bass might be able to see you so if stay at a distance you will probably have better luck.
