North Dallas, Tx Bank Fishing

Featured Replies

Hey everyone,

Was hoping to find someone from the area that maybe able to give some information regarding Lake Ray Roberts or other surrounding lakes. I am in the area on work for a couple of weeks and been trying to do some fishing to keep me sane while I'm away from my family. I have been hitting Lake RR a few times with no luck. Been mostly fishing the access off roads but have gone to the Ray Roberts State Park. I try to go either in the evening after work or early Sunday mornings. I have been using a 7'3" MH baitcasting setup and throwing either jigs, spinnerbaits, and texas rigged worms and craws. If anyone can provide some help I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Stephen

In the Las Colinas area of Irving, there are some small lakes easily fished from shore, and they get very little pressure. I wouldn't dream of eating a fish out of there though. White Rock is another one you might try. Look around on Google maps at some local parks, I know a few of them have lakes.

Las Colinas has more than a few for sure. Where exactly are you at in north dallas, if you dont mind? I know the mtroplex better than the back of my hand. Or how far are you willing to drive? Ray roberts is one of the better lakes in Texas but im not sure about bank fishing there. You might be better off sticking to ponds or small lakes. If you can let me know where you are or where you would be willing to drive to i might be able to help you a little better!! Good luck!

Message me and i will give you some spots i bank fish from that are on average 35-45 minutes from the North Dallas area.
