Berkley Pb Realistix Kicker Frog

Featured Replies

Am I the only one who uses these? I have had very good luck with them but they are hard to find. I always wonder why they weren't more popular.

I would think that the FRONT legs would catch on moss/every weed and grass stalk?

Do they float?

When you cast them out, do they (nearly) always land bottom-down?

They will hold up for about 3 fish each on average. They dont float like a normal frog, but they sink so slow that they usually stay close to surface on retrieve, and will stay up on a faster retrieve. And no, the front legs dont snag anything.. they are soft plastic and are as flexible as a ribbon tail on a worm.

..... And they dont always land bottom down, but the hook weight on the bottom makes them flip over on retrieve most of the time, though.

You aren't really supposed to just buzz them. They can be, but I've seen people do awesome with them working them just below the surface, like the dahlberg diving frog.

I usually do work them slow and just beneath the surface. But I buzz them if find the fish are hitting faster presentations.
