tru life tungsten

Featured Replies

i recieved the tru tungsten swimbait for the christmas swap and tested the action the other day  and these bad boys look good!!! just curious though, i didn't add any of the weights they come with so maybe thats my deal, but it sorta swims on its side. granted i understand these things are mimicking an injured shad so maybe this is on purpose? do they straighten up with weights added? how have you guys fished them? i got it on 10 pound test. thanks in advance

I take it you got the floater/slow sink then. With no balls it will only swim straight on a slow retrieve. You can also twitch/rip it on the surface. With one ball you can burn it a little better. The action looks great on these but I personally haven't had too much success with it except for little wolf pack dinks busting minnows that will strike anything .I have had a couple of blowups on calm mornings working it painfully slow like a stunned or unaware baitfish. It's also too darn small in my opinion. Some people on here like them a lot though maybe someone else can chime in?

I'm with Fin@tic on the size, although there is a local, small lake where smallmouth love this little thing. I look forward to trying the 5" though.
