Got Myself A Little Linebacker

My 4 year old son and myself have been watching A LOT of football high lights. As well as him watching my brother myself and some of our friends play pick up games in the yard. Well being as astute as he is. He has picked up on the trash talk. Personally I think its hysterical listening to him copy Ray Lewis, and some of the other greats. Well today I got a phone call from his preschool. Apparently they were playing with some kind of kid friendly balls out on the playground. A older kid pushed him and ran off with his ball. My son chased him down leveled the kid and told him, "This is my ball big baby, WOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!". I'm telling you the Lewis woooooo! coming from a four year old is hysterical. I tried my hardest not to laugh and informed them that he was well within his right to get his ball back and if someone else hits him he has my blessing to hit him back. As long as he doesn't cuss the child or hit him first I'm fine with it. So that crisis was averted and all is well for now. I figure if he isn't running his mouth and starting stuff with other kids then no harm no foul.

Back to my little smack talking line backer. We were playing in the yard with him the other day after a pick up game. My brother in law dove for a pass, and upon getting to his knees was tackled by my son. My boy stood over him and told him, "This is my HOUSE! Now get back up and I'll knock you back down!" I almost wet myself from laughing so hard at that comment. Having a son is the greatest thing in the world.

The last part was the best. It even made me laugh.

A future Raider, no doubt.

A future Raider, no doubt.

You aint jokin'. Just dont let him start stabbing rivals like raiders fans tend to do!

The big baby line had me laughing out loud. Make sure he has discipline with all of that intensity and he will be a fine athlete.

You know that's right. The child loves watching the Raiders with daddy. Oddly enough he also likes watching the Steelers with his grand dad. Not quite sure how I feel, about that yet. ;)

Discipline is most definitely paramount to success. The man who keeps his head on straight is the man who wins.

Thats awesome my oldest is the same way. We were at a christmas party at the armory for my unit and they had a bounce house kids were taking balls in there and Noah had one and a kid maybe a year or 2 older then him tried batting it out of his hands and failed. Noah then proceeded to run circles around the kid dodging tackles stiff arming the kid laughing yelling "what" "dis my ball" taunting him. I have pics of it some where i'll see if I cant find it.

Great story man, that has got to make u proud. Love it especially the Ray Lewis part, him and Ed are a couple of all time greats, they need one more Super Bowl before they can ride off into the sunset.
