I'm looking to get a jig/spinnerbait combo.. which reel/rod and would braid be best?

I do have a Megaforce MFC 661MHFB 6'6" Med/Hvy 1/4 - 1oz, 10-20lb rod with a baitcaster, Daiwa Megaforce Twitchin 7.1 100TSH (Twitchinbar),

would this be sufficient or should I get a new combo?

    It will work fine for you. Most people like a longer rod, but I used a 6'6" for the longest time and did fine with it.

    Nothing wrong with that set up, I do a lot of pitching and I'm more accurate and catch more fish using my 6'6" MH-F than I do with the 7' rod just because I'm so use to fishing that length rod. As for the line I'm really old school and I prefer 14# to 17# copoly when pitching jigs to moderate cover and I only use braid for really heavy cover or thick grass.
