im going to be taking a vacation in a week or so to some cabins in WV with some family. apparently its right on a lake in Carnifex Ferry? Summerville i think? im bringing a light spinning outfit to see if i can get some fishing in from shore.

how has the fishing been up there for you guys? any tips?

Summersville is a good smallmouth lake. Known as one of the clearest lakes in the east. Lots of cliffs and is deep. I haven't fished there in years. Water is generally cooler. Good luck.

tail waters can be killer for smallies and brude trout

Now im really excited! Never caught a smallmouth before. Im bringing 4" lizards , stick baits, cut tails, fluke jrs and assorted cranks and topwaters.
