Bass Boat Seats

Featured Replies

Hey all, so I got a new bass boat this spring, and to say the least I am pretty obsessed with keeping it looking brand new for as long as possible. Anyway, I'm out on Lake St. Clair a couple days ago and I've been doing well for a couple hours following sea gulls diving in the water after bait fish. Sure enough, luck runs out, and a gull flies about 5 feet over my head and drops a lovely gift, right on my lap and all over my seats. I've been trying to get this out of my seats for 3 days now with no luck. Anyone have any suggestions on what could help get these stains out of my brand new seats? It's driving me crazy! Any help is greatly appreciated!

Great, your boat is officially broken in now and you can stop obsessing. I can recall when my current boat was new (2002), I put my first serious scratch on it less than 15 minutes after it was launched for the first time. I thought that was pretty funny, funny enough that I reached into the cooler, popped a top and poured some beer on the carpet, just to get that out of the way. Not very much beer, didn't want to be wasteful, just enough to make a point.

Go to your local car parts store and grab some leather cleaner. Not a protectant like Armor All, but a cleaner. Then buy a stiff bristled brush, they make them specifically for car interiors. Let the cleaner sit on the stain for a few seconds, then brush and scrub away. Then after you get everything clean, wipe on a protectant like armor all or other protectant.

Thanks for the help guys! Magic eraser got most of it off. Trick for me was actually something my mother recommended. In an empty spray bottle, fill 1/3 with white vinegar, the rest with water, and a splash of dish soap. Also worked well getting the water spots off of the motor.
