Calcutta D is on the market on August

Big price increase. No anodizing, some proprietary clear coating. Nothing smaller tban the 200 size. All sad news to me.

hope they continue to make the B. Alot of great updates on the D, but I love my 400B's for Muskie.

I like the color and the weight reduction from the previous version plus the smaller profile. Only downside is the plastic line guide.

I hope they would release the 100 and 50 size model soon...

Less bearings than the TE series and pricier. I love the Calcutta's but I'm not so sure about these new ones.

Perhaps a new Cardiff will arise that will fill the mid priced round reel market the Calcutta is leaving. Surely Shimano is leaving something under wraps for ICAST and not spilling all their beans.

I'd like to see the GT version of this new Calcutta D. That will definitely going to be a sweet reel!
