Kvd And Pitching Soft Plastics Question

Featured Replies

Yesterday, I youtubed a clip and it had KVD in it. The clip was about flipping soft plastics. He said when he does he used mainly tubes and smaller creature baits. He never explained why. The question I want to know is why? Does it have to do with the fact that you shake/move the bait around often so it tends to look more nature. Would a 4-6 inch worm look too unnatural when you move the bait around like that? Any help would be nice.

P.S- It's KVD so I will do it, but I would like to explain it better if someone asked me why I would do it. I hate not being able to explain it, plus saying "Because KVD does it," most likely would make me look dumb.

I'm not KVD so I can't answer for him, but my guess is those baits offer the profile he wants.

Was he flipping grass or heavy cover? A smaller bait is usually used when punching grass or flipping heavy cover because it's easier to get through the cover, and won't get hung up as much.

Flipping trick worms and shaky worms weightless is actually pretty fun. You can control the action and move the bait anyway you like before moving it. KVD is a "power" fisherman so maybe he prefers to jig creature baits instead of slow presentations.

It was a bulk head with I think a 1 foot ledge on top. Nothing too huge.
