Luck E Strike Freak

Featured Replies

Has anyone used these yet? Looks very interesting with the "square bill" look, but want to see if you guys have had any bad experiences before ordering a few.

What are you worried about? Luck-E-Strike has been building baits for a long time and the RC series run really well, I think it is a high quality bait for the price. I think Lucky Craft and the import baits have really brainwashed us anglers to the point we wonder if a crankbait under 10 bucks is any good. Certain no name or "off brand" baits that we find cheap are usually made cheap but most of the brand baits, even luck-e-strike are pretty good. I will tell you that the freak looks like a killer bait, a deep diving crank that can deflect off deep brush and rock piles like a square bill, it may change the game a little.

I was worried about them due to the horrible quality that their Wart Hogs had when released. However, I am a huge fan of their squarebills. It may be too early to get much feedback since they're fresh on the market. I agree on it looking like a killer bait, a deep diving square bill type could be deadly.

I haven't caught a fish on one yet, but my LC1.5s keep on catching...
