Lft Ring Fry

Featured Replies

I have a few packs of these I plan to try out next week. Since the rings or ribs are so large I'm figuring a T-rig will be better than a wacky one. I also plan to fish it weightless in about 5-10 f.o.w. Anyone else use these and how well do you do with them?

Great bait! I fish it almost exclusively wacky rigged on a weighted wacky jig. Gives the fish another profile when senkos aren't working.......who am I kidding, they always are working!

Love me some ring frys on a c-rig!

Ha Ha !!!

True, but X2 for me here as well.

They were the wacky rig before the Senko was. There were some pro's discussing the ring fry in an article a while back talking about how they used to wacky rig it and dead stick it before anybody ever knew what a senko was.

First of all, you can fish 'em weightless - more so the regular size than the Baby RF's - These are my goto bait all year long - I try to use the least amount of weight I can get by with (depending on the wind/current). They work great in brush piles and in grassy shore areas. Don't work 'em too fast, but let the rings do their job.

Looks like I'll be buying some weedless wacky hooks on my way home tonight. I'll slide a nail weight in if they're not sinking fast enough. Thanks guys.

How do they sink weightless on 8 pound test line?
