Favorite Frog Rod

Featured Replies

Hey everyone i was wondering what is the best rod is for frogs that is priced around $100. Any suggestions?

Most of the frog rods I have seen are over my price range. Some of this will be personal choice, But Try to stay with an extra fast tip with MH to heavy action. I have a 7'2" MH Shimano Clarus and its works dandy! I think I paid around $90.

just got me one, very nice

I use a 7' 2" MH Extra Fast Shimano Sellus and it works great for froggin. For $59.00 it can't be beat.

I am probably one of 3 people here that use spinning gear for frogging! St croix premier 6'6" MH/F rod with a Pflueger president xt (aluminum body) reel and 30 lb. Suffix 832. So far it has worked well for me.
