Smallie Fishing The Quabbin

Featured Replies

Hit the Quabbin today for some Samllie fishing, left from gate 43 on the water at 6AM, hazy hot and humid, got into a gd top water bite right away on the PopR they wouldn't touch the walkin baits, bite was pretty good with fish comin up from 30ft of water to blast the plugs even if they missed it just keep poppin it along and back they would come, then the wind picked up blowing 20 to 25 from the south so it was on to the trolling motor locating fish and dropping down on them in 30 to 40 ft with the jigs. about 12 to 15 fish running up to 4lbs for the day not bad for the conditions, we were the only bass fisherman on the water.

Congrats on your smallie success at the Q! Great smallie place, I hope to get out there later this year.
