I saw that combo sale the other day - a good price indeed. The PQ frequently goes on sale for $80, but the Carbonlite rod goes on sale somewhat less frequently. This is a chance for those interested to score both at their best sale prices.

Exactly, and they have a ton of different options for the combo.

I was about to get this until I found a deal somewhere else. Looks like a great set up for the price for sure though.

I got one of these a few weeks ago in 7' MH. Very happy with the purchase since I had a rod to exchange, and needed a reel for another rod. Essentially got the PQ for $60.

I cannot vouch for the reel, however I can for the rod. I actually enjoy this rod. I have two of them. One on a spinner and one on a BC. If something happens to the rod during the first year BPS will replace it no questions asked. I should know, a baby gator bit the tip off one of them.
