Spro Bronzeye Frog Vs. Spro Poppin' Frog

Featured Replies

I have been having success with the spro bronzeye frog 65s, but I have never tried the popping version of them. I have heard that you can also walk the dog with the poppers, so I am curious to try them.

My question to you is: which do you prefer and why, and do you prefer one over the other in certain situations?

The popper actually walks the dog better than the regular spro frog IMO. I use it where I need more noise. It doesn't come through the cover QUITE as smooth as the original frog though.

I use the popper more than the "original". I think the fish can find it in the mats better with the noise it creates. I have found that they don't miss the popper as much as they miss the bronzeye. Also, as the other poster said, it also walks easier than the bronzeye.

Use the popper for water that doesn't have alot of weeds or salad on top, and use the bronzeye for throwing in the nastiest stuff you can find on top.

Pretty much the same here. I use the popper most the time but if it gets really thick I tie on the 65. Will add that when fishing in the dark though, I like to use the King Daddy over the other two.
