Does anyone have any tips for fishing Lake Wateree, SC? I was just stationed in Columbia and am have only fished a couple times on Wateree with no luck so far. I have grown up fishing on Hartwell. Also looking for a website or any type of resource that helps me figure out more about the lake (i.e. maps, reports, etc). Looking for somewhere to start...any tips would be appreciated.

im from sc but dont know a thing about wateree. if you are in columbia you need to go fish lake murray. there is a couple guys on here that fish lake murray that could probably give you pointers.

im pretty sure the best 2 lakes in south carolina for largemouth bass is lake murray and santee cooper. santee cooper was ranked like 12th and murray was somewhere in the 40's. thats a ranking in the bassmasters magazine this year throughout the country.
