Grandebass Megatail Rattlesnakes. Anyone Use Them??

Featured Replies

I just ordered 8 bags of these from a site that has them for $2.99 a bag. They look amazing, and I've heard some great things about them but have any of you ever used them? Do they work well on a shakey head?? Thanks.

Interested, as well. Have seen them, never bought tho, but very curious. You'll have to post your experience when you get them.

I definitely will. Plan on picking up some rage tail smokin roosters as well. Should have a review up next week.

They look very much like the Rage Tail Anacondas and or Recon Worms to me. I can vouch for the Anaconda's, the bass love em! Let us know how those work out for you.

I was at bass pro today and picked up 2 packs of smokin roosters. One in a black blue fleck, and another pack in okeechobee craw. I had a pack of anacondas in my basket, but I remembered this post and figured I'd wait until my megatails arrive and see how they fare. I'm excited to try them, but no bait has me as pumped as these smokin roosters. If you haven't seen these in the water and the action these things have, hop on youtube and type in the name and watch the video. Looks to be a tremendous bait for all types of rigs.

The rooster does look like an awesome bait. I haven't had much success on creature baits and even craws though this summer, been fishing the rage tail craws and space monkeys with no luck but killing it with the anacondas and other 10" worms.

I really need to try out the big worms. I have some 10' yum ribbon tails, but have yet to throw them.

Where did you get them for that price? I bought two bags from Cabelas and went through them both in my tournament. They tore em up. Wouldn't hit anything but the 8" worm. Need to order some more.

I picked up a Megatail pack recently. Am waiting for *** to send a warranty replacement rod so I can try them on a c-rig.

Would like to hear of other rigging successes in the meantime. Thanks!

Love GB rattlesnakes! Never used the megatail though.

Academy sports used to sell them, but I have only seen the regular rattlesnake recently. Otherwise on line at TW or grandes website. Also may want to take a look at V&M wild thang similar to the mega tail and anaconda
