Good Day On The Pond Bank

Featured Replies

Fished from 7:30am to 10:00 am, multiple hook-ups, biggest fish might have been 2 lbs. Caught 5 fish, all using Zoom 8" Big dead ringers, pumpkin chartreuse. Temp was in mid sixties, pressure about 29 and rising when I hit the water. Bite was very light, missed quite a few, they were grabbing the tail and running, when I set the hook all I would retried was a fouled worm. pic of little on caught this morning.

Went back out at 12:30pm, worked the pond on the windward side. Very slow, didn’t have a bite for a good hour. Switched to a Berkley 3” power grub, melon pepper color, and caught a nice 3 lb bass plus a couple less than one pound. All in all I had what I would consider a good morning and afternoon. I plan on going back out this evening with a Seibert jig and a Berkley Havoc pit boss. Need to up the sizes and report back with a pic or two!

Good catch

You had the same types bites as me. I could see a couple of the bass as they bit and yes they grab the rear of worm and go. Had to wait a few, watch for gills to flare, or pull worm out.

Got out and went fishing from 7:30am to 8:20 am, just two bites. The first one was ferocious; a 1/4 lb beast hit my Zoom 8" Big dead ringer, pumpkin chartreuse on 8lb Yozuri on a spinning reel. The next fish was a 4.25 brute, hooked through the nose. Put up a great fight and wore me out. I just had a little procedure on my knee on Friday so I was itching to get out. Thanks to the fishing Gods![attachment=20794:8-28-12 4.25lb.JPG]

Be careful out there, not worth getting zapped to catch a bass.
