Is there a time you use the Bronzeye Jr. vs. the Bronzeye 65 or do you guys just stick to one size?

I know there are some who apparently don't have problems keeping fish pegged with the 65, but that just isn't the case for me (and apparently others).  I wouldn't say most of the fish I hooked came off, but it was enough for me to start looking for answers.  For me, the Jr. seems to be the answer.

The body of the Jr. is much softer than the 65.  I really feel the quality of my hookups has increased significantly because of this.  What I mean by that is the fish don't come unbuttoned after I hook them.  For me, it was never an issue with waiting long enough to set the hook with the 65.  I had plenty of fish hooked, just lost too many to have confidence in it.  I also don't believe the quality of fish has suffered with the Jr.

I guess you could argue that my setup isn't perfect for frogs (MBR844C and 50lb braid), but right now, that's what I've got to work with and the Jr. is what works with it for me.

I really agree with NOVA on this one. I have several colors of both the 65 and jr. sizes, and have really put them to the test since they came out (with a ton of success I might add).

So many guys have trouble losing fish on these, but I seem to have found a way around that, and that's using the jr. size. Also, trim the legs back 1/4 to 1/2 inch. I feel like this gives the fish a smaller target and reduces short strikes a bit. Many also say it aids in a walking motion, but I don't walk frogs a lot. Also, don't ever use the color ALBINO. It simply won't catch fish, and will be a waste of your time.    :-X

i love these frogs alot and use them exclusively but i do find their bodies to be a little hard causing a few lost fish

what colors do you guys like

I don't even both throwing the Jr. size.  I'm sure it works for some, but I rarely lose fish with the size 65, while getting just as many bites, so why sacrifice the casting abilities you get with the 65.  It's so much easier to sling under overhangs and docks. 

I can't wait to give the King Daddy a good workout this year.  That thing is gonna catch some pigs. 

For people having trouble hooking/keeping fish on with the 65, try cutting a small slit in the back.  This allows it to collapse way easier. 

Thanks for the advice guys. As for colors I have always stuck to natural colors tree frog green, black, and natural red, but I think today I might stop and pick up the Bronzeye 65 in nasty shad.
