Any tips on fishing Beaver Lake? Baits used or certain locations on the lake. Largemouth fishing of course. I'll be heading out tomorrow following the rain.

All I can say is GOOD LUCK! I have had very little success in the area around our cabin. Drop shotting and finesse baits have worked best for me.

Yeah, most tourny guys hate Beaver. It's a fickle lake. A good example was at the first day of the FLW weigh in this spring on Beaver. 1st day leader was saying he'd caught like 25 keepers and said "really, it was pretty easy". Went on about how he was confident in his pattern for the entire tournament. He never made the weekend. That's the way Beaver is.

But there has been some consistent patterns lately. We're putting about 25 bass a day in the boat on several trips over the last few weeks. See my buddy Quillback's post that I pointed out above for more details.

Yeah I was Watching that, I don't rember that guys name. He was pretty confident after the first day and then just fell apart. I read quill backs report. Looks like I really need to hone in my drop shot. I tend to be a power guy and rarely even bring a spinning rod. I did happen to pick up a pfleuger president xt for $30 bucks at cabelas opening day. Looks like it might get some action pretty quick!
