I was going to make this my square bill rod. i use kvd 1.0, 1.5, rc1&2 etc.

Of the 2 listed which would be best?

I'd go with the MH... It will throw the lures really well. It has a soft tip, moderate action and plenty of backbone, and can double as a frog rod when called upon.

If I had to go with one, I would say the 7' MH. Tip is Kinda stiff for a crank bait rod. I would suggest something in a fiberglass rod made for cranking.
