I thing that i did great for being my first year and my first time for using lures. I have a blast when i get to go out and enjoy ever min of it. My average on a trip is about 4-6 fish thats about 3-4 hours of fishing on a boat. My average weight is about 2-3 lbs. Here are some pics

nice fish. i fish south jersey too and have been stuck in the 2-3lb range for july and august. i've been fishing alot of small dammed ponds that heat up way too much. i found an amazing spot that i'm looking forward to going back to in the fall. i swear the water was close to 90 deg when i stuck my hand in it. i could barely get them to take a senko when i was there. the bite always turns on for me at dusk. next season i'm going to get electronics and fish much larger bodies of water in the summer months. i'm really looking forward to this cold front coming in. its like the first taste of fall fishing!!!

When I lived in NJ I use to fish all over Monmouth County. Biggest I caught there was about 4 something, now that I live in FL it seems like they all are around that size.

Quanity has been good for me, Species variety has been pretty good too. But not alot of large fish. Biggest LM this year was about 4 lbs., got a perch that was about 2 1/2 lbs., an 18" Rainbow trout, and a 29-30" pickeral that was pretty fat. That's about the best I have done this year in terms of size.

I have been fishing ALOT this season and a little over a month ago I got my PB that I know of since having a scale. That one was 3lbs, 10oz, however just last week I caught my new record, the scale read 4.03lbs. I got it in pouring rain on a Strike King buzzbait(black and red). Other then that, there was one other 3lber, a handful of 2lbs, and more dinks there I would like to remember hahaha

Just thought I would check to see how everyone else has been doing locally? Cause I have been getting skunked so bad its unbelievable. The last time I got a bass was just over two weeks ago and it was a 2.5lber on a spinnerbait. I have been fishing almost everyday since then for at least 1.5hrs a day with not even a bite. Its not just one location either, cause I have about five different decent size ponds to choose from nearby and Manasquan reservoir. I try every lure I can think of, I work my way from topwaters to bottom dwellers and its the same across the board. I see post about fall fishing really picking up, but its having the exact opposite effect on me. Im really starting to question my ability in this game hahaha
