Hello all, my name is Adam and im from the Broward County area of Florida.

I am going up to my parents cabin on the north side of Lake Okechobee, and its for nothing but fishing. I used to fish when I was younger (around 7 or 8), but havent touched a pole in a few years. I am really excited about the trip, so my girl friend went out and bought me almost 200 dollars worth of stuff, all of which i really have no clue on how to use. I have been reading these forums for the last few days and have come away with many tips and for this I thank you. But I just need one more tip of advice..

This weekend it is suppossed to be raining, with isolated thunderstorms. In this kind of weather what is the best tackle and technique to use?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and Ill be sure to take some pics of the cacthes and share with you guys. Thank you very much!

# 1 Don't fish during a thunder storm.

# 2 If it is over cast use a dark colored bait.

#3 You didn't say what type of baits you have so I can't comment any farther.
