Bay Lake Orlando Fl

Featured Replies

I'm going to be at Disneyworld for a few days for a conference and was wondering if anyone had any info about shoreline fishing the Bay Lake near the contempory resort. Or any general info about fishing in Fl at this time of year.

Any lake or pond in the central Florida area will hold bass. I would use a senko, spinnerbait, shallow crankbait and a topwater to cover your bases. When will you be there?

Just a heads up so you don't run into any issues. people used to be able to fish some areas located on disney property, Fort wilderness camp area was a popular one, some canals etc. We were looking at staying and talking to the rep about places to fish, they said they recently changed the policy and no fishing is allow from rented boat or shore on disney property unless you are with their fishing excursion.

Like Captain Shane said most any body of water holds some bass, I would us google earth and locate a few spots. A guide for Disney told me he got his PB a 9 pound fish out of a small retention pond on a plastic worm. So you don't need big water to get a big fish. Good luck and have fun.

I am on the road now and will be there until Sat around lunch. It's a short trip but might get the line wet in the little down time I have.

Thanks for the info.

MCS - thanks for the heads up I will have to look into that before hand. We are guests of Disney so that may influence my plans.

Thanks guys.

What route are you taking? 95 to I4? If so I am just off 95 in Jax and have some spots literaly 2 minutes off 95, PM me if interested. and over off of I4 and 434 there is an awesome tackle store...Bitters Bait and tackle. If you get I chance, I know how trips and there is never enough time to do everything.

That would be awesome, but I am in a 15 passenger van with 9 students. As much as I want to take you up on that I don't think it will be possible. Maybe one of these days.

Thanks again
