I was just wondering if there is anybody from Columbia, SC. I just went to the Congaree boat ramp for the first time today to do a bit of scouting. I didnt have my boat today, so it was mainly from shore and the floating dock. I could see a lot of what looked like Silver Carp in the water, but didnt see any bass. If there were LMB around, they sure didnt want any of what I was offering.

The congaree does have bass I have caught a few. It also as a very small poulation of smallmouth although you will find more of them up in the broad river. I'm guessing that you were at the ramp off of bluff road?

Just a heads up, we're trying to do a get together outing on Saturday the 6th on Murray if you can make it.

The 6th? i would love to make it, but i work in a restaurant that serves brunch, so thats a no go for me. Really wish I could make it though. and @Ninja, I tried it out yesterday. Got in the canoe and paddled up river to the rock walls, caught a bunch of Smallmouth and Redeye's. Had never caught either before, alot of fun! Cant wait to try it when the stripper are running, heard alot of good things from co-workers.
