Where To Buy Daiwa Sol

Featured Replies

It took some searching, but I just picked up my second Daiwa Sol. I never realized how difficult it is to find someone willing to part with one. Wouldn't you know it, two days after I bought this one a guy I know in GA lets me know he has two new ones in stock and was I interested. Duh, interested yes. Do I have the finances, not nearly
So if anyone is interested in purchasing a new Sol, but is running around in circles looking for one, PM me and I'll hook you up with him.

Yep, I, too, found that guy in White, Georgia at a Rod and Reel shop! Just a tad over $200 and brand new!! Great personal service when I called, and super quick shipping1

Only had mine for a few weeks and am still learning what it's capable of......it certainly is better than what I thought it would be.

Swapped it back and forth with a St. Croix Legend Tournament Finesse, and a Dobyns Champion Extreme drop shot.....both are SO good I can't pick one over the other.

Now I'm going to experiment with different lines.

In my part of the Swamp, I've not seen another one on the water. And it's easy to spot on the boat deck.......SOL......bright as the Sun!

I have 2 Sols, great little reels.

On the champ extreme rods they are really nice and it sort of matches the letters on the rod! I would recommend some 8-10lb floro for it. Sunline shooter for sensitivity or sniper for castability and handling. A great rig for drop shots, shakeyheads, or flickshakes without having to go too light...ie pixy!

There was a guy on these boards that had a sol stolen from him around a month ago and he was very interested in hunting one down. Might want to let him know!
