Football Jigs.....I know the when, how  and where to fish them......What I need to know is:

Any experts on these? What sizes do you use when? Colors? Line?

I want to know what works best for fishing them, so i can cut down on my learning curve.

Deep water (12+) or real thick brush I use a 3/4 oz, most everywhere else I use a 1/2 oz. , around docks I use 1/4 oz because of the slow fall. Sometimes if I'm fishing really BIG rocks,I'll throw a 3/4 or 1 oz with a rattle even if its shallow and especially if the water has some color......the heavier head hits the rocks a little harder and puts off a little more sound.

I like the usual browns and greens but pb&j has been good to me and I always use fluorocarbon except when I'm flippin'....then its braid.
