Shimano Cumara 7'2" Ml

Recommended Posts

My brother just surprised me with one for my bday, few weeks late but hey, I can't complain. Any of you guys use these before? Think i'm gonna throw the CI4 2500 on here. Super light weight.

Awesome to hear! I may use this for throwing worms. Read this rod by model # is for drop shotting. See the curve in the rod is to the left a little bit not away from the guides as how it should be, made in china what can I say. Other than that the craftsman ship is nice all around and feels light as a feather :)

Would be a good drop shot rod for sure. A nice birthday gift... happy late birthday!

I believe the rod weighs 4.4 ounces from what I recall. If you stick CI4 2500 on it your outfit without line would check in under 11.5 ounces which is good for spinning outfit of that legnth. I would put 8# sunline sniper or seaguar invisix on it and call it good. Shakeyheads, split shot rigs, and drop shots and even tubes would be perfect for the rod. I would stay within the 1/8-3/16 oz range of baits but wouldn't hesitate to go up to 1/4 in a pinch. This outfit would serve you well for years to come!

X2! Have this setup and is light and sensitive. Use it mostly for shaky head fishing.

Congrats and you will enjoy it!

I'm dedicated to 6# Spider Wire mono :P but def thanks for lure weight recommendation. I think my worms with added worm weight come in just shy of 1/4.

Ive got the same outfit, its a dream. Over the counter warranty was a breeze the one time I broke 6" off the tip by my error.

Haha he actually said his limit was $100 but got the Cumara on sale. I saw it on TW for $129 it was like half off but still, great gift.
