Every baitcaster I've bought before you could spin the handle on it and it goes around freely like 3 to 4 times. My dilemma is when I spin the handle on the winch it only goes around like 1 1/2 to 2 times and it looks sluggish all the brakes are disengaged and the spool tension knob is really low, is this normal because of the bigger gears it has or maybe they come with to much oil? Any idea would help.

The 3rd Generation Winch only comes in a 5.4:1 gear ration that hauls in approx. 22IPT

I have noticed the Gen 3s come packed with grease in the bearings. It should still spin more freely, but flush your bearings and put a drop of oil on them and if the problem is still there. Just send it back.
