I want to head to "big O" in late February. 2 of us will be going. I live near Roanoke VA and we want to fly down. I personally know a guide who works down there, but was wondering if we will have to rent a car to get to a hotel or the marina from the airport, or if there may be a bus? Also if any of you have traveled like this could you give me some advice that may save a headache or two when making a trip like this. We will be staying for 2-3 days.

We have found that it is terribly expensive to travel with one piece rods on a commercial airline. This may be a drawback. You may want to check into their checked luggage limitations. Good luck.
