To go 1/8oz. under the rod limit? I accidentally bought 2 1/8oz. cranks and my rod is rated at 1/4 to 1oz.

    Probably won't be the end of the world. My rods rated for 1/4 to 1/2 oz but I still throw 1/8 oz inline spinners from time to time. You won't be able to cast it as far though.

    It won't hurt the rod at all, it just won't cast as far as you would like.
