My buddy just informed me Pure Fishing dropped Larry Nixon. How do you drop a legend ? I guess Nixon signed up with Dobyns Rods and Yamamoto. Larry Nixon is my all time favorite bass angler. I wonder who else was chopped ? It's like NFL coaches. Go figure.

    How do you drop a legend? Easy. I don't know if there was any bad blood there, but in the absence of same, this is a profit-driven system and they may have decided they were no longer getting an adequate return on investment.

     

    Also, various legends have had no problem dropping sponsors who stuck with them during their lean years.
