Quantum Energy Pt Rod?

Featured Replies

Hey guys has anyone owned the Quantum Energy pt rods? Seems many quantum other rods have the same 54 mil modulous blanks. So does that mean they are the same blank just set up different with other components? Found a deal on them and would like to buy some for mostly inshore redfish trout and snook. Also opinions on the new Abu revo s the white and black casting and spinning reels would be great.

Never had the rod, but the new Revo S is pretty sweet. I had a chance to try it out and it casts wonderfully. The brake system is pretty cool too. If you can get a good deal, I would go for it.

never fished the energy pt but do have a tour edition pt that I bought from tw when they where 55.00. I bought the 7 4 heavy and was really surprised with the rods sensitivity. the tour edition is the hsx 62 blank .if the price is right on the energy rods you should give them a shot.

I had one of the older Energy PT spinning rods, and it was a nice rod for the money. Very light, senstive, but a little lighter in power than I was expecting.

I have 2 of the energy pt rods n 6'6" mh. I bought them from Wally World for $22 each either mistagged or clearanced. They have been great rods. I have used them for just about every thing I can think of. I would not hesitate to buy another one.
