Humminbird Ice 35 Transducer For Other Applications Than Ice Fishing

Featured Replies

Well, it looks like ice fishing is probably going to be rather limited (if it occurs at all) this year. Rats! I have a Humminbird ICE 35 flasher that was purchased for ice fishing but it would probably make a good all purpose "fishfinder" if it had a different kind of transducer (either transom mount or under trolling motor). I cannot seem to find such an animal. Any thoughts?

What does the transducer cable plug look like?

There are no other transducers that are rated for 240/455 kHZ that your flasher uses.

It's an ice fishing transducer. No way to mount it that I see. I hoped they made a separate transducer that might work with this unit but it doesn't sound like this will happen.

My only option (I can think of) is to buy a second ice 35 transducer and seal it to the bottom of my hull. But I doubt I'll do that.
