Bass Fishing The Duck River In Tennessee

Featured Replies

HAs anyone put in on the boat ramp on iron bridge road and had success on small mouth...if so what are your favorite baits and techniques

Way back in the day we used to float around the Shelbyville/Wartrace areas well above and below the fishermans dam in downtown shelbyville. Not near iron bridge so not sure Im answering your question there. I saw duck river and got excited!

We always did well on white 2-3in grubs and small spinner baits. We used a spinner called 'the gold nugget' it had tiny double blades on it, we would wear fish out with this thing.  I found it just now on a google search, 'Hildebrandt nugget'. No idea they still sold it!!

We would catch mixed bag of panfish and kentucky's and some smallies. We never caught much in the way of lunkers though, but caught fish all day.

what color skirt did you use while fishing the nuggets

usually chartreuse, or the chartreuse and black

Im sure pretty much any of their colors would work
