Hey y'all! This might be a stupid question but, what is the difference between a drop shot and a Carolina rig and what are the advantages/uses of both? Thanks y'all!

Here's a couple links to get you started.. There are copious amounts of articles and videos on each method.. do your research!

A C-rig you can cover alot of water and get a feel of what kind of bottom you are fishing. With a drop -shot is more of a finesse tech.

I use both a lot, but rarely in the same place. Drop shot is almost always for fishing directly over fish/structure you have located with your electronics. C-rig, as eyedabassman points out, is more of a search bait that is usually fished faster.
