By large i mean 4-8lbs fish

Here are the baits i have been using and have had good success the past 3 weeks with.

Picasso Shaky head - Zoom shaky head worm : 30+fish

Strikeking series 3 cranks : 20 fish or so

Zoom finesse worm texas rigged:10 fish

78 pointer : 10fish

this was around 60-70 green fish in the past 5 trips.

NONE over 2lbs.

What else mIGHT i try. Larger cranks and plastics?

Ive notice the series 3 crank is sorta small and diveS what 8FT?

go big or go home!!  lol   seriously, try some bigger worms, jigs, spinnerbaits.   something with a larger profile.  your catch numbers will go down, but you might get that bigger catch you are looking for.

Like what size and rigged how,

the guy i went with today he threw every texas / carolina rigged worm in his boat and only caught 2 fish

my shakyhead produced 12

crankbait had about 8

First you have to be fishing where their are big fish, nothing wrong with any of those lures. I am guessing that you werent fishing in an area where they were. Everything this time of year has to do with the spawn, either they have, are in the middle, or are done. If you are catching a ton of 2lb fish I am guessing you are fishing shallow and the smaller male bass are either setting up shop, or guarding fry, either way the bigger females are not in  the area. Move out deeper from where you were catching the smaller fish and keep fishing the shakey head. Concentrate on points and humps in the area and you will eventually find the bigger fish

yea most of these fish were caught in pockets 400yards deep off the main channel in 8-12 feet of water there would be log jams in the back but the fish were kinda holding in the middle near submerged logs. water temp was 63ish

the male to felmale ratio was 2/1 male to female

also zoom makes a 7" SHAKY head would that require a heavy jig head?

Those baits certainley will catch big fish, but try bigger plastics and bigger jigs if you still aren't getting anything of size.

No a 7" worm wont require a heavier jig head, unless you are fishing deeper, or wind or current conditions change. If water temp was 63 , they are about to do the deed and the females will be around, if they are not heir right now.

Throw some big jigs (Strike King Hack Attack) with a Rage Tail lobster, this combination will eliminate a lot of smaller fish because it is a large profile combination. 

Big swim baits , 6" and longer.
